13. Zig Zag

13. Zig Zag

Anyone watching me would think I was crazy … we all try so hard to not move whilst we are taking photos, tucking our arms in by our sides, holding our breath, using a tripod with a shutter release cable and yet here I was waving the camera around, up and down seemingly pointing at nothing in particular! Lots of zig zags! Actually its addictive – I took so many photos this particular night – trying to get a sharp point was difficult – not sure that I quite succeeded. But it was fun.

18. Over my Head

Good job this pelican wasn’t QUITE over my head … can you spot why!? A friend told me the pelicans were hanging out on the lake behind her house … quite a huge flock – they are flocks aren’t they? – I know its a murder of crows! … They were wonderful to watch landing and fishing and preening themselves. I had a read about them on wikipedia – lots of information and things I didnt know about them. And found a little limerick … as follows …

A wonderful bird is the pelican,
His bill will hold more than his belican,
He can take in his beak
Food enough for a week,
But I’m damned if I see how the helican.

44. Red White and Blue

Saw a lovely little Mini the other day in St Armands Circle – the side mirrors had the Union Jack on them – I thought I would make it look a little more like the 60’s with this poster-like process on the photo. I never did own one but I remember riding in one and I felt as though my feet were
going to be resting on the road itself!
